The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On State Register of Electors" (re the Status and Authorities of the State Register of Electors and Compilation of Electoral Lists for the Formation of the State Register of Electors)

The Bill (Reg. No.3469) introduces amendments to the effective Law that enhance legal regulation of activity of bodies in charge of the Register, define the procedure of its formation and regulate compilation of the lists of electors before the Register becomes valid.

The Committee members also scrutinized an alternative Bill (reg. No.3145) that extends the competence of an administrator of the State Register of Electors. Thus, the administrator is authorized to settle certain legal or organizational matters concerning conduct of the State Register of Electors in the normative legal acts of their own.
